Promo Rules
Definition: Promo rules are predefined conditions set within a campaign to control the application of promotional values. These rules determine how and when discounts are applied based on specific criteria.
Supported Rules:
Discount based on order number.
Discount applied to order after a promo code is added.
Applications: Promo rules are instrumental in targeting specific customer groups to optimize promotional impact. For example:
New Customer Incentive: To encourage ongoing engagement beyond an initial trial, a promo can be structured to apply to the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th orders, effectively offering a phased discount after the initial purchase.
Reactivation: For customers who have canceled their subscriptions, a discount on their subsequent delivery after reactivating with a promo code can incentivise resubscribing.
Promo Value
Definition: The promo value denotes the discount amount, which can be specified either as a percentage or a fixed currency amount, to be deducted from an order's total cost.
Applications: Adjusting the promo value allows precise control over the discount offered, helping to manage profitability while providing attractive incentives to customers. For example:
Fixed Amount Discount: A promo code might reduce a customer's order total by a set amount, such as £10, decreasing a £50 order to £40.
Percentage Discount: Alternatively, a promo code could offer a 10% discount, reducing a £50 order to £45, providing a proportionate saving based on the total order value.
